“20 Reasons to Love Europe” was the theme of a competition to which Liquid Frontiers invited Volkmar a few years ago. The challenge was to design a postage stamp and it wasn't easy to capture the positive aspects of Europe within a 35 x 35 mm space. After all, each European carries a rich history and culture within them, shaping who we are today. The title of Volkmars work still resonates strongly: "Modern life is history." Twenty European agencies participated in the competition and the project received extensive coverage in the Sunday press for several weeks.
